ABOUT OUR ADS:
We wanted to address the ads on here on Nerdy Mamma. Though they might drive some of you crazy, there’re there for all of us. Every recipe, DIY project, kid’s activity, or parenting tip we post on the blog is a free article, available to the public (you). Anyone can access them–and there are no membership fees or even requirements to “sign-up” to get our content.
We take our tutorials VERY seriously, because if you try one of the recipes or attempt to build one of our projects, we WANT you to end-up with something you can be proud of. Sometimes, the ingredients or the materials to make a project are expensive and we never want you to feel like anything was a waste of your time or money (because they’re both critical to all of us, truly). With that being said, we might have to make a recipe up to 10 times before it’s edible and reproducible–or re-create a craft multiple times before it works or looks the way we think it should. And only then will we post it–when we’re sure it’s something you can re-create at home without difficulty.
The costs for this type of quality-control is steep–not to mention the costs of simply running a website, taking quality photography (not just buying the camera equipment, photography props, editing software, etc. but also the time it takes to set it all up and take the dern things). We’re certainly not complaining–running this blog (or any blog) is labor-intensive, but it’s every bit a labor of love.
So… while we completely understand that ads can get annoying, the pop-ups might drive you crazy and the affiliate links (Amazon, ETSY, and anything else) are EVERYWHERE, they are how we afford to keep the blog running and allow us to create new content that you love (or else you wouldn’t be back here–heh).
Please try to be understanding of the ads–here and on other sites. We truly appreciate every single reader that comes to the site–and we do this to support you and to support our families. So, it’s a win-win-win. And maybe a little more. Heh.
